Usually our Thursday post is additional info related to a guitar featured in one of our videos (released every Monday).  This post is an update on where we are with Every Guitar Has A Story (EGHAS) and where we are going.

We posted our first video June 7, 2024, so we have been at this for less than a year.   EGHAS is Mark Valentine and Dave Brock.  We enjoy it very much and our workflow allows us to do other projects.   We set up four, full-blown, multi camera shoots per year.  That enables us to produce 52 videos per year to meet our goal of a new release every Monday.

Here are some stats:   We have 55 videos posted.  And a new one is posted every Monday.

Currently we have nearly 400 YouTube subscribers.  Please subscribe.  https://www.youtube.com/@EGHAS-1113

The top video is The Shattercaster with about 36,000 views  and collectively our videos have well over a million impressions.

We have a website:   http://EveryGuitarHasAStory.com  with an email subscriber list of several hundred.  The website links to every video and announcement about our next shoot.   April 12, we will be at The Indiana Guitar Show.

We have a FaceBook Group.  It has 120 members. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1534112983870272

What's next?

We are looking for media partners willing to alert their email subscribers about each new video release.  And on a different level, sponsorship ideas are developing.

We are looking for an agent to pitch Every Guitar Has A Story to outlets.   We will be producing a 22 minute demo very soon.   Here’s a one-pager:  https://www.everyguitarhasastory.com/pitch

If you have interest or comments.  Please call Mark Valentine, 816-520-8430.

If you just want to see cool guitars and the owner’s story, stay tuned.  We plan on being here for you for years to come.

Maybe the heart of The American Dream is private ownership. You want to be able to own your own home and maybe your own business. You want to pass something down to your kids or grand kids. It is basic in America. A new survey says family businesses account for 84 million jobs and 74% of family businesses stay in operation for more than 30 years, but only 10% make it over 100 years of operation.

Martin & Company is an American Dream that many of us have held in our hands. The founding C.F. Martin established the company in 1833 in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. C.F. ‘Chris’ Martin currently sits on the board as Executive Chairman and is the great-great-great grandson of the founder. It is the oldest guitar company in America. The list of accomplishments are too numerous to list in this post, but Martin just passed the milestone of making 3 million guitars.

They are very collectible, but also very playable. You can tell by the list of famous Martin players.

Willie Nelson plays a Martin N-20 named “Trigger”

Dolly Parton usually has a Martin on stage

Johnny Cash had a D-35

Bob Dylan’s first guitar was 1949 Martin

Eric Clapton has several signature Martins

Neil You preferred the D-28 Martin

Hank Williams also preferred his Martin D-28

Kurt Cobain played a Martin D-18E on MTV UnpluggedPaul Simon had many Martins on stage

Avett Brother have a signature Martin

John Mayer has a signature model

The list is both stellar and endless.

Here’s an episode from Every Guitar Has A Story. This Martin sold immediately after the cameras were turned off.
